GUIDELINES

 

 

  1. All competitions are in Gaelic and open to male and female competitors.
  2. All entries must have lyrics and a melody. Lyrics must be typed and accompanied by a translation.  Music can be sent as a recording on tape or CD and/or sent in written form.
  3. Lyrics for Categories 1 and 2 can be found at our website www.mullmod.org.uk.
  4. Entry fees, lyrics and music (recording and/or written) must accompany this entry form. 
  5. All entries must be received by the closing date of 15th July 2008.
  6. Entrants in the Youth Section must be under 18 on closing date of 15th July 2008.
  7. Entrants may compete in more than one category.
  8. Entrants may submit a maximum of 3 entries in each category.
  9. Performance is copyright owned by Mòd Ionadach Mhuile.
  10. New Songs must be original and not be previously recorded material.
  11. Three songs from each category will be chosen by an independent panel for performance at the Final Competition on Saturday 8th November 2008.
  12. Songs short listed for the final will be performed by a band and vocalists selected by the committee.
  13. Composers of the short listed songs will be invited to attend a rehearsal with the band and vocalists on 9th or 10th September.
  14. Entries will be numbered on receipt to ensure anonymity for the judging process.
  15. The judges decisions will be final in all competitions.
